Drying Fan System Failure

Symptom: the cycle finishes but your dishes come out wet or spotted. Bosch dishwashers rely on a drying fan (and on many models, condensation drying) to pull moisture out of the tub at the end of the cycle. E07 means the control board isn't seeing the fan run as expected.

Common causes include a seized or worn fan motor, a broken wire or loose connector in the drying fan circuit, moisture damage to the harness, or a fault on the control board that drives the fan. Running more cycles won't fix it, and a failing fan can let steam escape into your cabinetry.

  • Fan motor test and replacement
  • Wiring harness and connector inspection
  • Control board output check
  • Verify drying performance after repair

E15

Water Leak / AquaStop Activated

Symptom: the drain pump runs continuously, even when the dishwasher is turned off. That's the AquaStop safety system at work: water reached the base pan, lifted a float switch, and the dishwasher is pumping out to protect your floors.

Why resetting or draining the base isn't enough

Many guides suggest tilting the unit to dump the water or resetting power. That clears E15 briefly, but the water came from somewhere: a cracked sump, a worn door gasket, a leaking pump seal, a loose hose clamp, or a failed inlet valve. Until the source is found, the code will return, often with hidden water damage under the floor or cabinets.

Our technicians perform full leak detection: we inspect the base pan, run the unit with panels off, and trace the leak to the exact component before replacing anything.

E22–E25

Drainage & Pump Problems

These four codes all mean water isn't leaving the tub correctly, but each points to a different part of the drain system. Here's how they compare:

E22Filter clogging / restrictionFood debris, grease or glass in the filter assembly slows drainage. Cleaning the filter often helps; if not, the sump may also be restricted.
E23Drain pump electrical or circuit faultThe pump motor isn't drawing power correctly: failed motor windings, a damaged connector or a control board output fault.
E24Hose restriction / general drainage failureA kinked or clogged drain hose, blocked air gap, or a new garbage disposal with its knockout plug still in place.
E25Drain pump impeller blockage or missing coverAn object (glass, pit, bone) is jamming the impeller, or the pump cover under the filter is loose or missing.

Bosch error code questions

Can I just reset a Bosch E15 error?+

Resetting or tipping the water out of the base clears the code only temporarily. The leak that triggered the AquaStop float is still there, so the code returns until the leak source is found and repaired.

What is the difference between E24 and E25 on a Bosch dishwasher?+

E24 points to a restriction in the drain hose or general drainage path. E25 points to a blockage at the drain pump itself, usually debris jamming the impeller or a missing pump cover.
